Automatic Admit, Discharge & Transfer Sync from the EHR

When a hospital admits, transfers, or discharges a patient in the EHR, that update flows automatically into the app over an HL7 ADT feed. This page covers what your integration contact can expect from that feed, not how staff use the result day to day.

What stays in sync

A patient’s active stay, current room/unit, and status stay current for meal preferences, daily check-ins, and feedback without any hospital staff re-entering the information. Corrections made in the EHR — a cancelled admission, an undone transfer — are reflected the same way.

How the feed is handled

Every update is processed durably and in the correct order. If the feed is briefly interrupted or delivers events out of sequence, nothing is lost. Updates that cannot be applied automatically are held back rather than silently dropped, so your hospital’s integration contact can review them with us.
