Guided Hospital Onboarding Wizard

The Onboarding page walks you through setting up your hospital step by step, instead of leaving you to a blank dashboard. A step list down the side shows every setup task — connecting your EHR system and setting up your care team — so you always know what’s left to do.

Your setup steps

Two steps make up the wizard today:

1. Connect Epic — provide your Epic FHIR endpoint and generate the connection keys to hand to Epic.
2. Set up your team — invite your dietary lead, clinical reviewers, and feedback managers to join (see Set Up Your Team (Onboarding Step) for everything this step covers, including enabling EHR sign-in instead of manual invites).

Selecting a step opens its own page; the button reads Start if you haven’t begun it yet, or Continue once you have.

Track your progress

Each step shows its own status — “Not started,” “In progress,” or “Complete” — plus “Skipped” or “Done” if you’ve marked it that way yourself. A progress readout shows how many of your steps are complete, and a Resume setup link always points at the next incomplete step, so you can leave partway through and pick up again without hunting for the right page.

Step status is computed automatically from what you’ve actually done — for example, the team step turns green once a colleague accepts an invite — rather than requiring you to check anything off by hand. If a step doesn’t apply to your hospital, you can mark it done or skipped from that step’s own page instead.
