Passwordless Sign-In via Magic Link
You and your patients both sign in the same way: enter an email address on the Login page and follow the one-time link NEPA sends you. There is no password to create, remember, or reset.
- Open the Login page and enter your email address in the Email field.
- Select Send sign-in link.
- You see the same acknowledgment every time: “If <email> is registered, check that inbox for a sign-in link. The link expires in 10 minutes.” NEPA shows this whether or not the address has an account, so the sign-in page can’t be used to guess who does.
- Open the email and follow the link to finish signing in — you land on the page for your role (see Role-Based Landing Page After Sign-In).
If the link doesn’t work
A link can only be used once, and it expires 10 minutes after it’s sent. If you follow a link that’s expired, already used, or malformed, you’re sent back to the Login page with a plain explanation of what happened, so you can request a new one.
For patients
Your patients sign in the same way, from the same Login page: they enter their email, get a one-time link, and follow it in. Clicking the link takes a patient straight to today’s check-ins and meal preferences during an active stay, rather than to a staff queue.
