Meal Order Cutoff Times

Hospital administrators set the daily cutoff time for each meal — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — so patients and staff know when meal preferences close for the day.

Set the facility default cutoffs

1. Sign in with a hospital administrator account and open the Meal cutoff times page from the admin area.
2. Enter the cutoff time for each meal, and use Cutoff day to choose whether that cutoff falls the same day the meal is served or the day before. Times are in your facility’s own timezone.
3. Save your changes. The new cutoffs apply immediately.

Override cutoffs for a single unit

When one ward runs on a different schedule, give that unit its own cutoff times. Unit overrides take precedence over the facility default; units without an override keep following the default.

Who else can change cutoffs

Dietary staff can adjust their own cutoff times from the dietary tools without waiting on an administrator (see Dietary Self-Serve Cutoff Times).
