Printable Meal Preference Sheet

From the Dietary Queue, staff can print a single patient’s meal preference sheet as a one-page tray card — a drop-in replacement for a paper preference sheet.

  1. From the Dietary Queue, find the patient’s entry and select Print ticket. This opens a new tab showing the sheet.
  2. The sheet shows the patient’s meal period, service date, meal service, appetite, any skip-meal notice, standing preferences, and notes.
  3. Select Print on the sheet to send it to the browser’s print dialog.

Patient identity on the sheet

The sheet only shows patient-identifying details (name, room, and bed) the way your hospital has configured its privacy settings, so a card left on a tray never shows more than the hospital intends.

Printing is tracked automatically

Selecting Print ticket records the print, so the dietary team has a record of when each patient’s preferences were last printed for service. The Dietary Queue shows whether an entry’s sheet has already been printed (see Dietary Queue).
